First Presbyterian Preschool is a ministry of First Presbyterian Church Franklin.

The preschool has been in existence for more than 30 years with a strong commitment to introduce children to the love of God and the joy of learning.

Our preschool is part-day (9:00-1:00) with before-care available beginning at 8:00, as well as after-care available to 2:55.  Preschool is in session from mid-August to mid-May and loosely follows the Williamson County Schools schedule.  We enroll children ages 2 – 5 and provide 2, 3, or 4 day classes.

Our teachers are well educated, committed to life-long learning, and dedicated to the highest quality learning experiences for all children.

We are inspired by the practices of Reggio Emilia and constructivist theorists such as Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky, and John Dewey.  We believe children learn best when motivation is intrinsic – linked to their interests and desire to discover and understand.

We support a community of learners – children, families, and teachers – where process is valued, nature is celebrated, and diversity is respected.

Our task is to help children communicate.
